Further Information

Aylesham Boxing Club is open to all who are interested in boxing as a skill of sport and fitness.  The club welcomes Juniors and Seniors to train both for competitive boxing and non-contact, advanced physical fitness.

No club member is compelled to box competitively, but there is opportunity for those with the level of talent required to take part at a competitive level, including entry into National Championships through affiliation to the Amateur Boxing Association of England (ABAE).

Shane and Barry McGuiganPromotional support has also been received from Champion Boxer Barry McGuigan, who's son Shane is also a member of the club and has since followed in the footsteps of his accomplished father Barry to win his first senior amateur Ulster title - see more...

The Club has managed to secure funding through local fundraising events and boxing shows to obtain a new minibus for transportation to contests and tournaments.

Coaches at Aylesham Boxing Club aim to provide techniques in training to encompass a wide range of skills from the basic stance to advanced combination and counter combination moves.  Many variations of defence are taught for every punch.

Amateur boxing is a healthy, well-regulated sport with an excellent safety record.  Aylesham Boxing Club prides itself on the significance of health and welfare to all it's participants.

New members are welcome and further information and assistance can be obtained from the relevant coaching personnel on training nights.
